Steps for Credentialing High School Teachers

Thank you for your interest in becoming a credentialed instructor for Miami Dade College's Dual Enrollment Program. MDC’s Part-time Dual Enrollment Credentialed Instructors are hired to teach dual enrollment courses at their respective secondary schools during the school day. As such, these positions are not compensated by the College.

For interested candidates that are interested in offering cohort instruction for the upcoming semester, please proceed with the following steps:

STEP 1: Click on this link to submit your credentialing request

TIP: If you are unsure of the course that you would like to teach, or the necessary credentials required – Please utilize this directory of the most commonly requested dual enrollment courses requested for cohort instruction.

Please allow the College 7-10 business days to review. You will receive notification directly from your Campus feeder liaison.

STEP 2: If approved, proceed to the hiring phase. Please access this link: https://www.mdc.edu/jobs/:

  1. Click Prospective Employees
  2. Click View All Jobs
  3. Under Location: click your campus feeder:

    If you are applying to teaching courses affiliated with the School of Education Teaching Academy Initiative - Please select PADRON CAMPUS 

  4. Search Job and type: Part-time Dual Enrollment. A listing will appear.
  5. Once the application is submitted, MDC will work to obtain your background screening (if applicable).

STEP 3: Once in the hiring phase, please have your designated administrator submit a cohort request to schedule offsite instruction.

  1. Please include the approved instructor’s name in the request so that the MDC Campus can assign the course appropriately.
  2. Hiring will not be finalized until a cohort request has been received.
