What is MDC College connect for the teaching academies?

This program offers students a sequence of courses needed to become a professional in the field of education. This includes the ability to work effectively with all students, educational technology, classroom management, student assessment, communication skills, and other skills needed to support the learning activities of students in today’s classrooms.

How does it work?

Through an articulation agreement, students in the high school CTE Teaching Academies can earn up to nine college credits. Beginning in the fall, students in the Teaching Academies will also have an opportunity to take postsecondary schoolwork and simultaneously earn credit toward a high school diploma, an industry certification, a college credit credential, and an associate degree with a pathway to the Early Childhood Education, Exceptional Student Education, Secondary Biology or Secondary Mathematics Bachelor’s degrees.

Why implement MDCCC TA?
