Human Rights Photography Contest

The 1rst Annual Human Rights Mobile Photography Contest is created to recognize talent and imagination through mobile photography. There will be an annual competition (Sep - Dec), with a specific human rights theme and an exhibition. The contest is open only to Miami Dade College, Kendall CampusPalmetto Senior High School students. 

As photography is a powerful medium of expression that can be used to communicate strong messages about a subject. Photos foster empathy, community engagement, and positive social change. 

Entries will be judged on creativity, originality, and for highlighting the contest's theme of Human Rights. Submissions should be inspired by the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, Article 2 - Freedom from Discrimination.

Submissions must be:

  • A JPG or PNG file
  • The window for student submissions (October 18 – November 22)
  • Students may submit up to 5 images
