Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic)
The Pearson Test of English (PTE Academic) is a computer-based academic English language test that assesses your Listening, Reading, Speaking and Writing skills. Examinees can register for this test online by visiting www.pearsonpte.com or by calling customer services at 1-800-901-0229.
The PTE Academic is used for the following:
Test results are available typically within 5 working days following the test session. Examinees will receive an email from Pearson when the results are ready to view. Examinees can then login to their Pearson account to view the scores. For MDC to receive the scores, the examine must select Miami Dade College as a score recipient through their Pearson account.
Retest Procedure:
You may retake the PTE Academic as many times as you want, although you must wait until you have received your scores from one test before booking another. Institutions will not see your scores unless you allow them to by sending your scores to them via the website. This means that institutions will not be able to see if your scores are better or worse than previous attempts. You can send them to an unlimited number of institutions, but you may only select seven recipients at any one time (per score order).
