Criteria for becoming a certified small business enterprise with Miami-Dade County:
- Have the proper occupational business license(s) from the county to provide those goods and/or services.
- Have an actual place of business in Miami-Dade County or, if the principal place of business is not located in Miami-Dade County, then 51% of the majority owners must reside in Miami-Dade County.
- Perform a commercially useful function.
