Recruitment Services visits schools and community organizations in order to inform potential students about the Eduardo J. Padrón Campus and all of our programs and facilities. We also host a variety of events including field trips, Open House, Jump Start, Career and Major Workshops, and more.

We are here to guide our students every step of the way from how to apply, register, or seek financial aid. Students are FIRST at MDC Eduardo J. Padrón Campus!

  • Dual Enrollment

    Dual Enrollment Dual Enrollment is a program that allows eligible high school students currently attending accredited Miami-Dade County public or private high schools, or home schools to simultaneously enroll in a college course or courses. The credits that students earn must be used toward both a high school graduation and are acceptable towards an Associate or Baccalaureate Degree or Technical Certificate.

  • JumpStart

    JumpStart is a unique program offered during the Summer B Term at the Eduardo J. Padrón Campus of Miami Dade College. JumpStart is designed to help incoming college freshman transition to college by providing a strong academic foundation, individualized advisement, and a supportive learning environment.   Selected high school seniors are accepted into the program based on their essay and completion of program eligibility requirements.

    Students take two classes, Student Life Skills and Fundamentals of Speech Communication. The Eduardo J. Padrón Campus offers free tuition for the two classes and pays for the course books. The benefit of the JumpStart program is that students can experience the Campus while it is less crowded than during the regular academic year. Participants have the opportunity to meet with faculty and staff, and they also learn where departments and services are located. The students make friendships which can serve as a support in their upcoming years as a college student.
