Student Leadership Academy Class of 2014

Dear Students,

We'd like to invite you to apply to be one of the ten students selected to be part of the prestigious InterAmerican Campus Student Leadership Academy.

The Leadership Academy is designed to encourage students to develop and improve their leadership skills. Students will explore the role of leadership in their personal, academic, and civic lives as well as understand their social responsibilities within that context.

The Academy’s objectives are organized into four units: foundations of leadership, personal development, organizational development, and community engagement.

The InterAmerican Campus Student Leadership Academy is an intentional and structured program consisting of a series of activities and workshops designed to help students:

  • develop and enhance their skills as leaders through weekly activities
  • recognize the value of continuous learning
  • experience leadership positions and teamwork and how those skills transfer to future careers
  • explore and address a specific campus/community need through civic engagement and leadership

Ten students will be selected to participate in the Academy during the Spring Term (January 2015). Upon completion, students will receive a certificate of completion, a service grant in the amount of $500, and a personal recommendation letter from the InterAmerican Campus President.

Requirements include enrollment for a minimum of 6 credits at the InterAmerican Campus for the Spring term (January 2015), a completed application, and an interview.

Applications due by October 31, 2014. Click here to complete online application.
