Dear Colleagues:
I am very pleased to announce that we are once again participating in the Great Colleges to Work For program, which recognizes institutions that have built exceptional working environments. You will recall that MDC was awarded this national distinction from 2008 to 2019. We took a hiatus in 2020 and 2021, but we are back.
This year affords us the opportunity to be proud of our accomplishments and I encourage you all to share your insights. Although recognition is not guaranteed, I remain very optimistic about the value we can derive from this special program, especially as we expand a culture of care, reimagine for student success, and accelerate academic excellence and innovation.
As you likely know, part of the program involves an employee survey distributed to a sample of each institution’s full-time faculty, adjuncts, administrators, and exempt and non-exempt staff. If you are included, you will receive an email invitation encouraging you to participate in this confidential survey. A high response rate helps ensure accurate results and demonstrates the commitment of our workforce.
You will be representing not only yourself, but all your colleagues. Therefore, please take the time to respond. The results of the survey will be factored into the overall scoring process that will ultimately determine the institutions recognized. The Chronicle of Higher Education will publish the results this fall.
Thank you for your participation and support on this important opportunity for the College, and for the amazing work you do on behalf of our students every day.
With great admiration,
Madeline |
