Dear MDC Family,
Preparation is always the priority at Miami Dade College as we start the 2022 Atlantic Hurricane Season, which runs June 1 through November 30. Once again, it is predicted to be an above average
tropical cyclone season for a sixth consecutive year. And we all know very well, the impact from a single storm can have lasting effects. Following recommendations from
Hurricane Preparedness Week
last month and shared by the Office of Emergency Management, it is important that we all review our personal and workplace emergency plans. We are fortunate the Florida Legislature established the
2022 Disaster Preparedness Sales Tax Holiday from May 28 through June 10, so start preparing now and save!
Just like for the College, it is important for you and your family to be ready. For assistance with your personal storm plan, you may visit
