Dear MDC Family,

At Miami Dade College, it is our commitment to ensure everyone is provided with the opportunity of education. Since MDC opened its doors on September 6, 1960, our institution has changed the lives of so many people in our community through accessible, high-quality teaching and learning experiences.

Every year on September 6 we celebrate I AM MDC Day – a day dedicated for our community to come together and raise funds needed to help our students achieve their academic dreams. On this historic day, we also celebrate those whose lives have been touched by Miami Dade College. Thanks to the generous support from our donors, we've impacted the lives of more than 2.5 million people.

I invite you to build on our efforts and pledge your financial support to jumpstart a student’s dreams. I hope you will join us and ask your friends and neighbors to do the same. Know that every donation made between now and September 6 will make a difference in the life of an MDC student. With you on our side, we can ensure everyone has accessible paths to the American Dream.

If you are a full-time MDC faculty or staff member, you can amplify the impact of your work and give to the future of tomorrow at MDC by choosing to opt into an annual payroll deduction or one-time deduction. I also encourage everyone to attend one of the many campus events on Tuesday, September 6 where you can take part in an array of fun-filled activities throughout the day.
