Dual enrollment is a program that allows students currently attending Miami Dade County public schools, participating private and charter schools, or home school, to simultaneously enroll in college courses. The credits that students earn at MDC count toward high school graduation and can also be applied to a college degree or certificate.

College Connect is a High School Dual Enrollment initiative that provides extended access to a suite of courses that are aligned to fit the educational interests of students. It provides a level of intentionality that supports the varying levels of academic interests unique to secondary students.
Administered as a two-semester program, College Connect allows high schools a level of flexibility to better coordinate dual enrollment schedules and instructional modalities for students. The continuity offered through College Connect prepares students for both academic and personal growth. All courses in College Connect count toward an AA or AS degree at MDC and are transferable to another college or university.
College Connect courses also align to one of MDC’s guided pathways that are designed to assist students with earning multiple stackable credentials such as industry certificates and college credit certificates.
