This site seeks to link the teaching of ethics across the curriculum with the Institute for Ethics in Healthcare housed at the Medical Campus. This site emphasizes ethics in health care. This project will benefit anyone involved in ethics education. Ethical decision-making applies in all aspects of society. We seek to bring together parties with a shared interest in teaching ethics and ethical decision-making.
The missions of the Institute for Ethics in Health Care are to:
1. Create awareness in the community of ethical issues in health care.
2. Impart to faculty and students the skills and background needed to apply critical thinking and ethics in their disciplines.
3. Promote a forum through which skills and decision-making related to ethical issues in health care can be addressed.
4. To promote collaboration among disciplines.
