Miami Dade College has a process in place for allowing students to take a placement test on a remote testing basis and also supervises examinations for other institutions, employers, agencies, and certification boards to take an exam at MDC or via a technology supported online proctoring service. The Testing and Assessment Departments use the term "Remote Testing" to describe this process.
Borrow a Mobile Device: Current MDC students, faculty, and staff may borrow mobile devices and equipment, such as laptops, tablets, and more.
Remote Testing Fees
Effective June 1, 2022, the fees associated with taking a placement or competency remote test will be assessed.
Effective Fall 2022, MDC students will be responsible for paying ProctorU remote testing fees. The exam fee begins at $18.50. A $3 premium late registration fee is applied to all exams scheduled less than 48 hours prior to the appointment start time. Do not wait to schedule your appointment! ProctorU Student Checklist.
