Testing and Assessment

MDC Online

Miami Dade College has eight Testing Centers available for MDC Online college students. If your course requires proctored examinations, check the syllabus/calendar/course to locate specific testing dates and plan accordingly. Be prepared to know your course and class number information for Testing Center check-in purposes.

The Testing Centers are managed by the campus Testing and Assessment Director. Proctors do not have knowledge of the contents of your exam and are not authorized to make any changes, give time extensions, or answer any questions about your exam. If you have any concerns, contact your professor before you take the exam. 

To take an exam, you must comply with the Testing and ID RequirementsThe Testing Center will not allow students to take any exam without the proper identification.

The MDC Online Student Support Center can help resolve technical issues and answer questions about current and future MDC Online courses and semesters. Current and prospective MDC Online students can submit a ticket through the ALT Helpdesk. .

Schedule Your Testing Center appointment:

The Testing Centers are open for testing on an appointment priority basis. Students must make a separate appointment for each exam they are taking. Standbys are admitted on a first-come, first-served basis and only if there are available seats. Request for ACCESS accommodations are not available for standby testing. Contact MDC Online Testing for more information. 

NOTE: All courses have been assigned a specific testing window. Review the dates of your proctored assessment. Students must also check their syllabus/calendar/course to locate specific testing dates and other important information.

Under certain circumstances, arrangements for auxiliary aids and modifications are permissible. The College makes every reasonable effort to ensure equal access to educational opportunities and experiences for candidates with documented disabilities. These services can include:

  • Sign language interpreters
  • Adaptive or assistive technology
  • Note takers
  • and more

An ACCESS representative can help eligible candidates identify and arrange for accommodations that ensure success.

Note:  ** All examinees must be checked in and seated by the scheduled time, which is no later than 5:00 PM on Mondays through Thursdays, and no later than 1:00 PM on Fridays. Examinees will then be given adequate time to complete the test within the designated Hours of Operation.  Ensure you finish the test within the allotted time frame.
