Powerpoint: This power point was presented by Maggie Procunier to the Miami Dade College BSN students enrolled in NUR 3826 Ethical Issues in Health Care and the Environment October 25, 2010. Maggie is the Bioethics & Patient Rights Coordinator for the Baptist Health System in Miami, Florida. She has graciously agreed to share her power point on the web site for others to view and use. She is a member of the Advisory Committee for the Institute for Ethics in Health Care.

Florida Biothics Network: The conference – "Florida Bioethics: Debates, Decisions, Solutions" – is the largest of its kind in the country, focusing on front-line health workers in clinical care and public health. Attendance is regularly between 300 and 400 people, including students. The April 1st conference is the 19th annual, now in conjunction with the University of Miami Ethics Programs. The conference is a forum for nonpartisan, nonsectarian assessment of contemporary ethical issues in health care.
