“Ethics is our greatest training and leadership need today and into the next century” (IACP, 2015).
The cost of unethical behavior can include civil litigation and penalties which can be as a result of excessive use of force, racial discrimination, sexual discrimination, age discrimination, religious discrimination and sexual harassment. Defending allegations of unethical behavior can be financially draining to organizations and mentally draining to individuals. In many instances the effects of the cases stigmatize the profession, the agency and/or the individual.
This course is designed for organizations and individuals who wish to maintain and/or increase their positive relationships with the community. The facilitator will utilize theory and the experience of the participants to define ethics and ethical behavior, deconstruct current events and provide tools for addressing ethical dilemmas.
This training can be applied to salary incentive or mandatory training.
