Shelly Fano is the director of the college wide Hospitality Management Programs. Her responsibilities include department administration, budget, class schedules and assignments, student advisement, program curriculum development and approval, faculty training, media, governmental and industry relations.

She coordinates communication with local, state and federal government offices relating to grants in place and procurement of future grants. Prior experience includes senior management positions in several construction, real estate, property management, and finance and investment companies. She has taught and worked with high school students with learning disabilities, developing specific curriculum for their individual needs in addition to developing specialized programs for employment opportunities for minorities and the underrepresented.

Ms. Fano received her AA from Miami Dade College, BA from Florida International University in Modern Languages and MS from Florida International University in Hospitality Management. Ms. Fano is also very active in local, state and federal civic organizations
