Professor Foran earned a bachelor’s degree in economics from The University of Florida. He then completed graduate studies in the area of economics and economic development at The University of Essex in Wivenhoe, Park, U.K.

Currently, he is pursuing a doctoral degree in Curriculum and Instruction with specializations in international education, educational leadership, and policy. Current research interests include the income distribution effects of education in developing countries and the curricular incorporation of literature and history to increase economic meaning.
