What is difference between an AA Degree and AS Degree?
An AA Degree (Associate in Arts) prepares you for transferring to a four year college or university. An AS Degree (Associate in Science) prepares you for a job in the industry.
When are our regular classes offered during the year?
Our school terms are Fall, Spring, Summer terms A, B, and C. The Fall term starts near the end of August and runs for 16 weeks to the middle of December. The Spring term starts near the beginning of January and also runs for 16 weeks. Summer terms A and B are both 6 weeks in length and Summer term C is 12 weeks. Please contact a chairperson at your campus for further information.  (Click here)
Do you have Friday and Saturday classes?
We have both Friday and Saturday classes in our regular schedule.
Why are there prerequisites for courses?

The prerequisite for each course is determined by our faculty as basic requirements to successfully complete the course.

How many students are in each class?

Our student to faculty ratio is small enough to create a stimulating learning environment.

How many classes should I take during a term?
To qualify as a full time student, you must take a minimum of 12 credits per term. Depending on your work schedule, the type of courses that you plan to take, how good your study habits are, you can take up to 16 or 18 credits. Your advisor can help determine this with you.
How much homework will I have to do for the courses that I take?
For a 4 credit course, approximately 10 hours per week will be required outside the classroom for homework assignments and lab work. A full time load of 12 credits is almost the same as having a full time job.
How old are the students in the department?

We have a full range of students from right out of high school to retirees. Each term brings a different mix of students.

Are all School of Business majors accredited, and by whom?
We are accredited by The Commission of Colleges of the Southern Associations of Colleges and Schools (SACS).
