The Florida Residency for Tuition Purposes policy is based upon state statute, rules of the two higher education governing boards in Florida, and statewide guidelines developed by college and university administrators in conjunction with the Statewide Residency Committee and the Florida Department of Education.

If you are a Veteran, Reservist, or in the National Guard and paid into the Montgomery GI Bill and seeking a college degree, you may be eligible to receive VA benefits for your college education. Additionally, if you are the spouse or dependent of a deceased or permanently disabled Veteran, you may also be eligible for VA benefits for your college education.
