Work-Study

Work-Study is paid to you as you earn it and those earnings are taxable. Taxable earnings from need-based work programs, such as Federal Work Study, should be reported on ensuing year Financial Aid applications.

Students working under the Federal Work Study, America Reads, Community Service, Institutional Work Study, and the on campus Florida Work Experience Programs are paid bi-weekly by the college and  direct deposit is encouraged. Students working off Campus under the Florida Work Experience program are paid directly by their employer, typically on a weekly or bi-weekly basis.


Miami Dade College is accredited by the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges to award associate and baccalaureate degrees.
