MDC's Medical Campus opened in 1977 and sits on 4.3 acres in the heart of the Miami Health District. We have 23 health care programs ranging in length from one semester to bachelor's degrees. Students at the Medical Campus learn as they build their experience in state-of-the-art facilities. The library features an extensive medical collection, while study areas provide ample opportunity to hit the books. In the state-of-the-art Simulation Hospital, students hone their skills on human patient simulators - mannequins capable of mimicking more than 200 illnesses and conditions.

Nursing
Our nursing program builds the personal and professional skills needed to provide outstanding patient care. We prepare you for a real world professional nursing practice in a variety of health care environments.

Histotechnology
You will learn the art of preparing quality slides for the pathologists in order to aid in diagnosis and treatment of medical problems in conjunction with surgical and clinical findings.

Massage Therapy
The Medical Campus Massage Therapy Program is a Career Technical Certificate program that offers three tracks –Generic Option, Accelerated Option and Transitional Option.

Pharmacy Technician
Learn how to assist and support licensed pharmacists in providing health care and medications to patients. This program has a nearly 100% PTCB Exam pass rate and state registration rate.

Veterinary Technology
Upon graduation, you will be able to perform a wide array of medical tests and procedures in a number of clinical settings, on small animals, large animals, exotics and laboratory animals.

Medical Assistant
In just one-year, multi-skilled graduates will be ready to join a team of professionals at clinics, medical offices, hospitals, and outpatient facilities. Upon completion, students may obtain licensure or registration for many of our other programs.

Vision Care
Graduates have the opportunity to work with opticians, optometrists, and ophthalmologists in private and retail settings. Once licensed, an optician may also be independent and own his or her own business.

Nuclear Medicine
Nuclear Medicine Technologists are employed in hospitals, outpatient diagnostic imaging centers, and private physician offices. This Associate in Science degree is designed for students who are looking for immediate entry into a career upon graduation.

Central Sterile Processing Technician
Earn a nationally recognized industry credential and become a vital part of the surgical team. A sterile processing technologist’s primary responsibility is to ensure that medical equipment and devices are sterilized, operational, and packaged for procedures.

Medical Coder/Biller
Learn to code, classify, and index information for health records and medical billing. Upon completion of our program, you will be prepared to be part of the administrative team at clinics, medical offices, hospitals, and other out-patient facilities.

Health Information Technology
Health Information Technology professionals are in demand in a variety of health care settings. They are experts in health data collection and analysis. This program is designed to educate and prepare graduates with entry-level job skills. Graduates have the skill sets and knowledge to work in over 76 different career options.

Phlebotomy Technician
This program prepares students for employment in a hospital laboratory, blood center, or other health care facility to draw blood by venipuncture and capillary puncture. Students are taught safe and efficient work practices in obtaining adequate and correct blood specimens, labeling specimens, and transporting specimens correctly to the appropriate laboratory sections.

Surgical Technology
Prepares its students to work as part of the health care delivery team in hospital operating rooms, ambulatory surgical centers, outpatient surgery centers, specialty surgical centers, and physicians’ offices.

Health Service Management
The Health Service Management program prepares graduates for health-related careers or graduate programs, covering legal and ethical responsibilities, current issues, management concepts, quality management, and multi-cultural organizational management.

Radiation Therapy
The Radiation Therapy program prepares students to become Radiation Therapists, key health care team members using radiation to treat cancer. Graduates gain knowledge and skills for accurate treatment and compassionate care through integrated classroom, lab, and clinical education.
