MDC's Medical Campus opened in 1977 and sits on 4.3 acres in the heart of the Miami Health District. We have 23 health care programs ranging in length from one semester to bachelor's degrees. Students at the Medical Campus learn as they build their experience in state-of-the-art facilities. The library features an extensive medical collection, while study areas provide ample opportunity to hit the books. In the state-of-the-art Simulation Hospital, students hone their skills on human patient simulators - mannequins capable of mimicking more than 200 illnesses and conditions.

Earn a nationally recognized industry credential and become a vital part of the surgical team. A sterile processing technologist’s primary responsibility is to ensure that medical equipment and devices are sterilized, operational, and packaged for procedures.

Health Information Technology professionals are in demand in a variety of health care settings. They are experts in health data collection and analysis. This program is designed to educate and prepare graduates with entry-level job skills. Graduates have the skill sets and knowledge to work in over 76 different career options.

This program prepares students for employment in a hospital laboratory, blood center, or other health care facility to draw blood by venipuncture and capillary puncture. Students are taught safe and efficient work practices in obtaining adequate and correct blood specimens, labeling specimens, and transporting specimens correctly to the appropriate laboratory sections.
