Hotel Associate Apprenticeship Program
The Hotel Associate Registered Apprenticeship Program is designed to prepare apprentices for a successful career in the lodging industry. Apprentices will also be prepared to accommodate hotel, motel, and resort patrons by registering and assigning rooms to guests, issuing room keys or cards, transmitting and receiving messages, maintaining records of occupied rooms and guests' accounts, making and confirming reservations, presenting room statements and collecting payments from departing guests.
This program leads to a career pathway that combines college coursework, mentoring, and on-the-job training. Credits earned can be applied to an Associate in Science degree in Hospitality Management, which is fully transferable to public universities within the state of Florida. Upon program completion, apprentices will receive an Apprenticeship Certificate of Completion and will earn a College Credit Certificate in Rooms Division Operations.
