Program Overview

The Low Voltage Technician Career Technical Certificate (CTC)is designed to educate and prepare graduates with the transferable skills required for entry-level employment in the Electronics Technology Integration industry.

Low voltage technicians are responsible for installing and configuring power devices, Closed Circuit Television (CCTV) devices, and phone/networking systems. They install and calibrate audio and video sub-systems, design and construct racks and cabinets, and build network infrastructure and wireless networks.

From wiring and installation to troubleshooting and repair, our program covers everything you need to know to excel as an entry-level low voltage technician. With hands-on training and expert instruction, you'll be ready to hit the ground running and succeed in the fast-paced world of Electronics Technology Integration.

This program contains 5 consecutive courses. Each course has a duration of 150 hours (5 credits).

  • High Employment Rate

    The Low Voltage Technician program supports the market for Electrical and Electronic Equipment Mechanics, Installers, and Repairers, which is expected to grow 8.1 % through the year 2029, according to the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity (FLDEO). Nationally, the overall employment of electrical and electronics installers and repairers is projected to grow 2 percent from 2020 to 2030.

  • Accelerated Track

    The Low Voltage Technician Career Technical Certificate is a 750-hour program where students will acquire extensive knowledge of proper construction methods and the proper use and maintenance of hand and power tools and test equipment.

  • Valuable Work Skills for Today's Workplace

    This Career Certificate is designed to educate and prepare graduates with the transferable skills required for entry-level employment in the Electronics Technology Integration industry.   • Community and Corporate Partnerships

    Securing various community and industry partnerships, one of them being the Alarm Association of Florida, we are also partnering with business owners in the home automation field to employ program participants post-program completion.
