Site Development

Site development may include new sites, significant restructuring of existing sites, or any other update whose complexity requires significant resources. These projects will often take more than 48 hours and tap into specialized skill sets, such as programming or creative development. Completion dates for projects depend on deadlines, complexity and the availability of resources. Our project manager will keep you informed and involved throughout the process.

The Project Process

Planning:

Here’s where we lay down the groundwork for a project. First, you’ll have to identify a main point of contact, someone who is authorized and willing to make decisions, gather content, and answer questions. Many decisions have to be made throughout the development process and involvement is necessary to complete projects in a satisfactory, timely manner. At this time, you may be asked to provide content such as text, logos and photos.

Design:

Based on your needs and existing content, a wireframe of the planned site is built. This allows us to design the navigation for a site in a fast, flexible process.

Development:

Here’s where the site gets built and tested. This stage is about code, content, and quality assurance.

Launch:

Once the site is built and passes the quality assurance process, it is published to our live environment. From this point on, updates to the site are handled through our Web Update process.
