Visitor Guidelines

To ensure the safety of our exhibitions and the comfort of all visitors, we respectfully request that you observe the following policies:

  • Food and beverages are not permitted in the galleries.
  • Professional photography is not allowed. No portion of a guided tour or program may be professionally audio- or video-recorded.
  • The use of selfie sticks, tripods, monopods, and other similar devices is prohibited.

Ticket Policy

All ticket sales are final. Date and time changes may be honored if requested at least 24 hours in advance of your reservation, subject to availability. In the event of a museum closure or cancellation by the museum, purchased tickets may be refunded or rescheduled at the museum’s discretion.

Tips for Visiting

  • Arrive early to avoid crowds and allow time to explore exhibitions.
  • Pack light—especially bags; secure items if possible.
  • Dress comfortably and wear walking shoes; some gallery floors are uneven due to structural preservation.
  • Plan transit in advance—Metromover can fill up quickly on busy evenings; Uber/Lyft and taxis are also easy to find downtown.
  • Group visits or educational tours: contact our Engagement Coordinator Angela Chaine achaine@mdc.edu to book in advance.
