MDC Student Electronic Benefits Changes

Increased Security

Over the following months, MDC will introduce Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) for students to bolster the cyber defenses on their MDC accounts. This additional layer of security is aimed at providing you with peace of mind and fortifying your defenses against evolving cybersecurity threats. MFA will be mandatory for accessing your student email and Office 365 applications. Stay tuned for follow-up communications.

For more information about MFA visit our MFA support page

Microsoft One Drive Storage

Following licensing changes and industry trends, effective July 30th, OneDrive storage limit will be adjusted to 50GB.

MDC Alumni

MDC alumni will be extended the benefit of continued access to student email and Microsoft Office 365 for a full twelve months following their last enrollment. However, access to the Office 365 suite will be limited to the web versions and any downloaded applications installed on local computers will cease to function.

Following this grace period, alumni access to Microsoft O365, OneDrive, and student email will cease. Any data associated with these accounts will also be removed. Proper communications will be going out to those alumni who are already past the twelve-month period providing ample time to safeguard your data and take necessary measures.

To ensure you remain effortlessly connected, take a moment to verify your contact details. You can do so conveniently via the Personal Information tab on the MyMDC mobile app or by logging on the MDC Student Portal
